Passages
Sicily 2017-2018
Passages began as a search for colorless landscapes belonging to Sicily. I explored the limestone beach of the Scala dei Turchi, the architectural forms of the Dammusi in Pantelleria, the white labyrinth of the Cretto di Burri, among other places. Through my lens I could see beyond their mass and into the tactile details of their surfaces. In their markings there is a touch and in their curves and crevices there is a body.
