Milton Resnick (1917-2004) was a painter involved in the abstract expressionist movement in New York City. These photographs are of his three storey studio at 87 Eldridge Street inside a historic synagog located in Chinatown. Much of the studio had been left untouched since his death in 2004 and the photographs serve to create an artistic record and investigation of the space and life of the artist before the building’s renovation. The building is now a public exhibition space, archive, and educational center for his work as well the work of his wife, Pat Passlof.
